Cali StyleJennifer brings the spirit of Cali-style salsa to the dance floor, sharing her love for the music, rhythm and movement. Her classes are all about feeling the music, enjoying yourself and discovering the joy of dancing together.

Salsa CubanaIch liebe Salsa Cubana von Casino über Son bis Timba und bringe dabei gerne meinen ganz eigenen Stil mit ein. In meinem Unterricht verbinde ich kubanische Tradition mit modernen Einflüssen und lege besonderen Wert auf ein Tanzen auf Augenhöhe. Gemeinsam mit meinem Tanzpartner Simon stehen für mich Spaß, Humor und eine offene Atmosphäre im Mittelpunkt, in der sich alle willkommen fühlen und jede*r die eigene Tanzrolle frei entdecken kann.

Do I need to bring a dance partner?
No. You are very welcome to start alone. Partners are changed regularly during the classes.
Can I join if I have never danced salsa before?
Absolutely. Our Basics classes are designed for complete beginners. Stay for a Beginner class after. In a couple of weeks we will introduce our first Intermediate classes.
Can I come only for the Salsa practice on Thursday?
Of course, and it’s free. Salsa practice is your chance to practice at your own pace and enjoy the music in a relaxed atmosphere. Your teachers are there to answer questions and give you guidance.
Do I need to book in advance?
No. Booking is recommended for planning, but you can also just drop in and pay at the door.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable you can move in, and shoes with a smooth sole that let you turn easily. Sneakers with a lot of grip make turning hard. And bring some water.
Which class should I start with?
If you are new to salsa, start with a Basics class: Cali Style on Monday or Cubana on Tuesday. Not sure which style suits you? Have a look at our styles above.
How do I find the Tanzräume?
Go to Karl-Marx-Str. 275, walk through to the second backyard and turn right. The door code is 4478#.
Do I need to be fit for Dance Acrobatics?
No. Our Dance Acrobatics classes start at Basics level and build up step by step, so you gain strength and body control along the way. Just let your teacher know about any injuries.
